Since 2017, I’ve served as the resident sound designer at The Croswell Opera House. The Croswell is a historic theatre located in Adrian, MI and is the oldest theatre in the state and among the oldest in the country. It’s been in operation since 1853 and in 2015-2016 went through a multimillion-dollar renovation.

Since the renovation, I’ve been responsible for the audio, video, and intercom systems involved in the productions of our shows as well as many of the touring shows that have come through the facility. In 2019 I oversaw two grants that the theatre received: 1. to purchase a new set of microphones and accessories which now allows us to offer a full suite of mics to our shows as well as having a comprehensive set of mics to offer touring groups as a backup to their lineup, and 2. to install front fill speakers in the orchestra pit wall to enhance the audio for the first few rows of the house. This involved the installation by others and then measuring and configuring the system to allow for the proper delays and other DSP in the system.

During my tenure at The Croswell I have sound designed for the following shows:

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
In the Heights
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
